Why is there a hole in the Werewolf: The Wild West book?
Well, I'm kind of a fan of the Old World of Darkness games. The other day I found a copy of Wolf: The Wild West at half price bookstore. There is a hole that goes from start to finish and the pages. At first I thought a bubble head that just drilled a hole in the book, but the hole very clean and the words on the pages of the sheath around the hole, was clearly not by the editors. The book itself does not seem to make any reference to it. Any dose of knowing why the hole is not it? It is decorative, is supposed to look like a bullet hole or something? Was a bit nervous through it originally?
That's a die "shot." Also, do not look much like a bullet hole but that is what is supposed to be.

Wild West ghost towns live in California
The Far West and mines the 1800s are a rich part of the heritage of California, and what better way to explore the past to visit the ghost towns of California? Golden State ghost towns are on the ghost story, and you spend hours exploring all the corners of buildings old and dusty at the same time in various states of degradation and restoration. Two examples different to get started.
Indiana
Only on the time to drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas gets a bit tedious, is same Interstate 15 out of Calico Ghost Town – a stop that is worth giving you the opportunity to stretch their legs and learn a little History of California, at the same time.
It is a true ghost town, but not the kind of fear and really like a theme park as a historical excavation. Some of the original city was restored, some re-built, and some buildings were created only for tourists. The city was carved into the colorful hills in the Mojave Desert back in 1881 and today offers a fascinating insight into what life could be for minors of borax and silver from the 19th century.
If Calico seen in some places, like parts of Knott's Berry Farm, because Calico was once owned by Walter Knott, founder of the popular amusement park. He gave the property to San Bernardino in 1966 and has since become a regional park complete with its own historian, and many authentic buildings and furniture. Mixed with the story is good business of trade – from restaurants to gift shops, gift shops – catering to busloads of tourists who are thus conveniently off between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
This ghost town is dusty and dirty as the less developed roads still have soil and shrubs drop the city. The streets are paved trails are well marked and historical exhibitions each have descriptions that will help to get an idea of what they see. The hills surrounding offer a background and begin to realize that this place was called Calico for a reason: Blue red, gray, green, vermilion, brown and yellow, can be seen in plots along the steep slopes.
Like most ghost towns, Calico was once a lively place where prospectors came looking wealth in the mines. Money and borax are made of more than 500 local mines. This allowed the city to grow to more than 1,200 people and keep many companies local – including 22 classrooms. When the price of silver has been reduced by half day city of hay were over and the neighbors finally moved.
We spent a couple of hours to Calico, on Main Street is a pleasant walk from the best four blocks, each filled with historical sites, shopping and surprises. For example, you can visit the Calico prison, where armed men were led out of the Calico time serving. There is a visitor center, which includes period photographs, newspaper and historical information to explain to help you understand the history of the city. There is a place to do laundry a gold and another called the House of Mystery – as you would expect from a man named Knotts. Regime lunch in the bathroom Lil – nothing fancy to eat here, but beyond the doors of the hall is a bar that appears out of a Hollywood western. And Yes, families are welcome.
There is no real theme park, but there is a train of coal can be mounted on a stroll for a history lesson of the engineer of the train. We also enjoyed a reconstruction of a mine shaft where you can get a sense of darkness and claustrophobia in the mountains – and do it safely. There is a house made of bottles and various other quirks that are fun to find. You see the houses of the miners dug into the hillsides, and a variety of independent-style buildings of the Old West.
If you still need a little more help imagining what it was like the Wild West of the city today, "armed men" assist in the shooting and demonstrations in the main street.
Calico Ghost Town is just north of Barstow, and because we were visiting in the afternoon we decided to spend the night. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation available in the new Holiday Inn Express, which offers deluxe rooms Amazing and a general feeling that was modern and nice, with beautiful desert views through the window.

Bodie
If you are looking for a ghost town in California who is a little less commercial, the state contributed to restore the town of Bodie in the eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada. It will be a little more difficult and requires a lot of walking more. But worth it.
If you thought the underwater photos of the Titanic were both disturbing and fascinating, Bodie gives the same feeling. Just like you imagined what life must have been in the last hours of the fateful maiden voyage of the Titanic tragedy, a look at the many buildings that remain in moving Bodie to reflect on what life was like during those years in the 1880s when Bodie is filled with 10,000 souls.
In 1859, he was discovered gold near this city to S. Waterman Ordinary people from the body and paid tribute to the body, naming the town after him with a slight variation: Residents were concerned that the Corps is pronounced as it is written that changed the spelling of Bodie.
As the operation mining in the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada began to decline, miners crossed the mountains to look for other sources of gold and soon with the discovery of the Comstock Lode deposits of Virginia as famous in the city, this whole area east of the mountains began to emerge with the arrival of the miners.
By all accounts, was a wild, riotous existence in the 1880s as miners and other residents were allowed in the 65 classrooms that had sprung up throughout the city. Murder is said to be an almost daily basis. According to the Park Service, Bodie has also been the scene of numerous thefts, assaults and street fighting scene. Throughout Bonanza Street, Maiden Lane and Virgin Alley, the ladies of the night, set a row of cottages in a room called the "cradle".
After reading all the stories about the body, they were ready to see what remains of this city and its colorful past. The road to Bodie is clearly marked in the U.S. 395 south of Bridgeport, and our anticipation grew with each 13 miles of the snail. Along the way we see in our mirrors the views of the mountains became more and more spectacular as it grew closer to 8300 meters Bodie.
Then on top of the grade and just around the corner, there was Bodie. From a distance it did not seem that any one city, but very lucky outside of buildings spread over a few hills modest. Then as we approached the buildings began to take shape – a church and a bell tower on the edge of the city, well-preserved houses, and then a few large buildings in the main street that looked like that was built for a western – except that it was the real thing. It was a real town where real cowboys were real shots.
Perhaps because we are more used to a lot of fake movies and western cities, but for some reason are not ready for our first glimpse of one of these buildings – which was the former Methodist Church. There, covered by a thick layer of dust, were hand-carved benches, the pulpit and organ pipes ornamentals. It seemed that just a bit of a wash down, the church may be ready for a congregation on Sunday.
And indeed when the Titanic started to kick in. We came to see the buildings of a city that has experienced its hay day over a hundred years, but somehow did not realize that this historic park was much more than collection of buildings – many buildings are in fact mini-museum housing artifacts even at the time. In some cases, it appears that residents rose and walked one day, but take nothing with them.
