A game where you would travel across a river then to a bridge that shakes when you hit a the head of a “god”?
I use to play this game a lot it consisted of you controlling a team that would race across a river on boats i think.Then you would travel up a hill and then across a bridge that would shake when you rolled the dice that mad the “god” angry and you where suppose to collect gems?
The name of this game is Forbidden Bridge, 1992, by Milton Bradley

Any mother that drives a load of children around knows how difficult it can be. If one of them is sleeping then three of them are shouting and there are always complaints of boredom. Mothers in need of some quiet travel time would be wise to organize some games or travel material ahead of time, before getting in the car. Once you make use of some of these tips and tricks, you will never leave home without them again. Travel games and items can make everything much smoother when trying to drive from one place to another.
There are many printable types of games that will keep your kids busy while in the car or van. Print off things like bingo games and then buy some dabbers or have them use washable marker instead. You can also print off pictures that can be colored as you go. Every child can pick their own unique picture to color in. You can even print off fun games like connect the dots or mazes where the children must find their way through to the other side. Do a Google search for car games that are specifically designed to be printed off. It makes it so much easier to find things without having to go to a store.
For long trips you can organize a scavenger hunt. Give each child a list of things to look for on their way in the car. Have them check off each item as they see it. Then whoever finds all of their items first can win a prize. Of course, you will want to have enough prizes for each child so that you do not have any unhappy campers. There are other fun games to play too such as I Spy. It will get the kids playing something together and allow you to drive along in peace, at least for a little while anyway.
Portable DVD players have become a favorite accessory for many parents. Bring them into your vehicle along with a stack of movies for kids to choose from. Have them take turns selecting a movie so that there is no continuous fighting. A movie can be perfect for getting the children to stay quiet and avoid a ride filled with loud noise and commotion. Many of these movie players also have plug ins for video games as well which could be a fun option for older children.
Get kids to explore their imagination by telling stories in the car. Have them make up silly ghost stories or have one child start and then another pick up where they left off. This type of game usually results in a lot of fun and laughter. If you really run out of ideas for travel games, hunt some down on the Internet. There will be plenty to choose from. Have the kids give their input as well by choosing some car games. It can be a real challenge to keep a vehicle full of children happy but it can be done. Get creative and see what you can come up with.

Can’t figure out the rules to a travel word game I heard my friends playing?
Alright, so I was on the bus and a couple of my friends started playing this crazy riddle word game. It went something like the following:
Person 1 would say “You start in California, then you fly to Las Vegas and you spend 3 nights there, then you go to Kansas City to watch football and stay there a night. Then you take the train to Ohio.”
Now obviously this is just an example I made up off the top off my head, but as soon as Person 1 said the example, Person 2 would be able to infer from what Person 1 said and come up with the name of a city which was somehow coded in the word problem.
So pretty much my friends kept on making up these crazy word problems with varies cities, travel mehtods and dates spent, and the person who was trying to guess the city would get their answer from the word problem.
In closing, how does this work and is there a name to this madness of a word game?
Well… My guess to the example you gave would be San Francisco.
“Start in California”
First letter is C
“3 nights in Las Vegas”
Third letter is S
“1 night in Kansas City”
First letter is K
“end up in Ohio”
Last letter is O
C-S-K-O, or ‘Cisko’ which is short for San Francisco.
Could be wrong, but just a guess, and it seems to fit.
