Red Hulk
For DC and Marvel fans, what would happen in the Hulk wore a red lantern ring?

Lets say we had a crossover and a red ring came to the Hulk, would heros(or even villains) be able to stop him or something?

Assuming he didn’t get cured or freed (right away, before his blood or heart “went bad”)?

I think at some point things would get really _Weird_.

See, the whole gamma-thing with the Hulk, the idea of “the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets”, really is tied in with Banner’s bodily reactions. This has been in Marvel continuity, on and off, for years–that you can teach Banner how to meditate, and alter how he becomes the Hulk, and also teach the Hulk how to meditate/visualize his mayhem as well.

Where it gets messed up is: Red Lantern rings stop your heart. That’s one of the first things they do.

So the ring would interfere with one of the feedback loops that the Hulk’s metabolism, as gamma irridant, relies on. There’s that. Then there’s the Hulk’s own healing factor–his heart would stop, then start again, stop, then start again…and the blood would have cycles of regenerating and going bad….eww.

I’m not saying this would kill Hulk, but it would mess him up. If we assume this mess stabilizes fairly quickly….

What you’d get is someone as strong as Red Hulk–meaning, they start at maximum strength, enough to beat Thor, but get no stronger. The angrier he gets, the more he _bleeds_ that “blood gone bad”. _And_ he has deeper access to the Red Light than Atrocitus himself, if not the Red Entity.

Catch is: He looks like Banner, rages on a par with Savage Hulk (circa Planet Hulk), and his healing factor from the gamma rays no longer works. So if the ring loses charge and he gets bled out, he can be stopped. Maybe. It would take a LOT.
