Locomotive Tender
How I can find the value of a vintage Lionel Train Set?
I found in my (now deceased) parents garage a complete set of Lionel trains. Dice Die Cast Steam Locomotive. There are a number of model 1492. It also has a contract that says Lines Jersey Central Gondola w / boats Box Car Erie says Lockawana EL 9043, NC Red Hopper, flat car w / logs and a caboose. Also in the box says 27 gauge, which means that 1973? Purchased a time between 1970 y. I have not yet met, but the plan this week to see if it still works. The instructions are chewed ….. looks like a mouse used to make a bed in the box. LOL! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Model Railway is a fast growing hobby. Locate the group in your area and see I would have to pay for a whole. I think there should be some groups in model railroading Yahoo! if you care to do with them. I know members of three groups here, in New Mexico who are now preparing for the fair with her displays of trains. Consult your local fairgrounds and see if a group living there, check out the base of the Fair State to see if a group lives there. I mean, literally, "live" on your screen buildings in the assembly work 24/7/365 days a year.

Conversion to oil combustion
After the Second World War, the railways were shortages of coal, particularly in the North Island. Approval was obtained to convert the Class 12 locomotives J oil burners, heavy fuel oil was available in abundance at the time. JB's class of service

All classes were scrapped, although many elements of locomotives were selected as substitutes for type locomotives J still in service in the South Island.
Preservation
None of the class is preserved JB. However, the offer is in the hands JB 1203 Steam Incorporated. In addition, it preserves J No.1236 locomotive has been restored as a class of oil burners JB by their owners, the main steam line, although this particular locomotive spent its entire career NZR J class as coal. J locomotive 1211, also owned by the main steam line preserved, has become the burning of oil in the same way JB Class, but has not been reclassified to reflect this change.
