What Can You do to get something off your exhaust pipe?
I was wearing athletic pants and it touched my exhaust pipe on my motorcycle.. What can i do to get it off? Can i buy anything or what is the secret?
Like was said. some WD-40 and some 0000 steel wool. Have to use 0000 wool though, anything courser could scratch the chrome. Even then, you don’t want to really push hard on it.
If there is a lot of stuff on your pipes, try using a heat gun to soften it and get some off first.

A car runs through its own complex systems. And yet, each system plays a very vital role in the performance of the car. It is not just about the engine, about the electrical systems, or whatever stuff that one puts in his car. One should also bear in mind the excess that the car contributes to the environment. For short, motorists should not just focus on what they put in the car, but also with what stuff comes out of it. More importantly, note if this “stuff” could be harmful to the environment, or to other people as well. Hence, one should know what happens under the hood of the car with the VW exhaust system. Because only VW can guarantee the best car exhaust.
The VW Exhaust system ensures that converted gas will not emit any harmful reaction to the air. It is composed of the VW exhaust parts such as the exhaust, the muffler, the exhaust pipe, and the catalytic converter. An exhaust pipe is usually tubing used to guide waste exhaust gases away from a controlled combustion inside an engine or stove. With an internal combustion engine it is usually part of an exhaust system which conveys burnt gases from the engine and includes one or more exhaust pipes. The VW Exhaust system assures the driver only high quality performance that is evident in the air and sound that the car releases.
Depending on the overall system design, the exhaust gas may flow through one or more of: the turbocharger to increase engine power; a catalytic converter to reduce air pollution; or a muffler to reduce the noise. An exhaust pipe must be carefully designed to carry toxic and/or noxious gases away from the users of the machine. Indoor generators and furnaces can quickly fill an enclosed space with carbon monoxide or other poisonous exhaust gases if they are not properly vented to the outdoors. Also, the gases from most types of machine are very hot; the pipe must be heat-resistant, and it must not pass through or near anything which can burn or can be damaged by heat.
In most production engines, the manifold is an assembly designed to collect the exhaust gas from two or more cylinders into one pipe. Manifolds are often made of cast iron in stock production cars, and may have material-saving design features such as to use the least metal, to occupy the least space necessary, or have the lowest production cost. These design restrictions often result in a design that is cost effective but that does not do the most efficient job of venting the gases from the engine. Inefficiencies generally occur due to the nature of the combustion engine and its cylinders. Since cylinders fire at different times, exhaust leaves them at different times, and pressure waves from gas emerging from one cylinder might not be completely vacated through the exhaust system when another comes. This creates a back pressure and restriction in the engine’s exhaust system that can restrict the engine’s true performance possibilities.
So to ensure that not only good things are in the car, but the stuff that comes out of it too; one should trust the name of Volkswagen. When a car gears up with the VW Exhaust system, with its premium VW exhaust parts, the only harm that one could get is the envy of other drivers.

How can you get the frozen cone off the top of the septic exhaust pipe without climbing a snow filled roof?
We have septic, and we are smelling sewer in our basement. When looking at the top of the roof, I notice that the exhaust pipe is blocked by ice. Since there is snow on the roof, it is impossible to climb up there and remove. Lately it has been well below zero, and in part might be the problem. Do I have to wait until it warms up, or is there something I can do?
Pray for sun……By the way, you should not be smelling sewer gas in the cellar, regardless….Have you got a sink or a washing machine drain trap that is unused??? If there is a trap that is dry the gas will come in through there..The water in a trap is designed to keep the gas out……
