Is it wrong for a 10×12 deck be 3 gallons of wood preservative?
yes that is how much. that should not even be necessary a full gallon for a deck that small. if you apply the thick wooden shield to risk letting it dry properly. may also become sticky when heated by the sun. I've seen it done before and each time the family pet set on the terrace under the sun that led to some of the seals with it. only must use two or three layers of light with a lot of time between dry. save the extra repeat in closing the coming years.
